The following video presentation touches on a number of facts about the origins of the Trinity and how the doctrine is not related to inspired scripture. Below that is a short commentary on Trinitarian origins and shortcomings as compared to inspired scripture.
Who is a judge of the person who sincerely devotes him or herself to follow Christ? Let God judge the man or woman who, hearing and reading the ten commandments, for example, sincerely desires to obey those commandments. One may look at the sincere follower of Christ and conclude the person is not obeying those commandments as they should, but let God be the judge.
But, what of the Trinity? Can a person read his or her Bible and find the command to believe in God as a Trinity? Is a Trinity even discussed in the Bible? Exhaust yourself with study into the matter, and you will come up empty. Instead, you will have to study into religious, philosophical, and political human history to discover the introduction, acceptance, and imposition of the Trinity doctrine upon what is called Christianity, today. Yet, mainstream Christianity condemns the man or woman who would deny the Trinity. It is an extra-biblical doctrine, introduced two centuries after the decease of all the Apostles, used specifically and purposefully to judge you as a "true" Christian. It would not matter, when all was said and done, what other doctrines you accepted, even all other doctrines of the mainstream church. It would not matter, when all was said and done, what tradition you accepted, even all traditions of the mainstream church. If you do not accept the doctrine of the Trinity, you are considered a heretic worthy of condemnation. Historically, people paid with their lives for refusing to accept the doctrine, whether they called themselves Christian or not. And, presently, in the collective mind of the church, you are condemned. They have consigned you to eternal damnation for rejecting this man-made doctrine.
We read in Acts...
Acts 4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.(emphasis added)
Note in verse 12, it is the name of Jesus, and only the name of Jesus of Nazareth, by which we MUST be saved; not the Trinity. You may say, "Well, of course!" Yet, to reject the Trinity doctrine in the eyes of mainstream Christianity is to be condemned to eternal damnation.
In truth, you will find that the main identifier of FALSE Christianity is not found in whether a person completely understands, though sincerely trying, all of scripture (After all, are we not GROWING in grace and knowledge?), but, instead, in adoption of doctrine that does not originate in the Bible, and, with the acceptance of that doctrine, the rejection and condemnation of all who will not embrace it.
Revealed in scripture is a church that calls itself Christian but behaves the harlot, instead of the chaste virgin. This church, in prophecy, even takes the lives of true believers, those who follow God in both spirit and truth (John 4:23-24), the truth being the word of God (John 17:17; Colossians 1:5; 1 Thessalonians 2:13).
Revelation 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Let us do our best to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord, Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18), worshipping the Father and Jesus Christ in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24). It is by their Holy Spirit we are given the ability to accomplish such a task.
A Powerful Revelation!
When you begin to appreciate the nature and revealed composition of the Godhead as is expressed by the Bible, that understanding leads to a whole new view of God's word as it pertains to His proposed relationship with you. God is adding to the Family of God just as the word of God emphasizes over and over again. God is not a closed "system", as the Trinity concludes, but a dynamic family known to the readers of the Bible as Father and Son, creative in such a miraculous way as to provide sonship to those who love the way and will of God. This is all done by that shared Holy Spirit revealed in the Bible, able even to be imparted as earnest to fleshly man (2 Cor. 5:5; Eph. 1:1214), those who would lay down their lives for God and God's good news for all mankind; any who will believe and follow Jesus the Christ.

Hi John If you read carefully what I said, Jesus in His physical, visible form was a man i.e. a human being called "the son of God". In His spirit He was 100 % God for God is a Spirit. When Jesus prayed, He was not praying as God but as a man. Only human beings pray. Angels don't pray to God (they have no reason to)as they have no needs. Angels only worship God. If angels don't pray, how could a divine being, the supposed second person of a trinity?
It wasn't allegorical. The Bible plainly says He meant His body. So He was going to raise His body from the dead. Jesus did not die as God, but as a man. Only human beings die. Even angels don't die that sort of death. Have you ever wondered how unjust it would be for God to kill someone for sins He did not commit as appeared to have happened to Jesus? But no, God Himself took on human form and paid the price Himself. There is only one Saviour and that is God Himself. When Adam and Eve ... Read More

He came to the garden of Eden and redeemed them. That is the precedent. He always saved Israel Himself when they fell into trouble.
I have recently become a non trinaterian, I became a Seventh Day Adventist believing that this church was the way. I have found that this church has backslided from its original theology. The founders of this church were all non Trinitarians. Now after 160years later the church has become ecumenical.
Bradley, I did not know that SDA started out non-Trinitarian. That's interesting. It's sad that they ended up following traditions of men.You can find non-Trinitarian sabbath and Holy Day keepers through the following website, "http://south-africa.ucg.org/", in case you'd like to check them out.
Hi Bradley Well done on becoming at N.T. It takes a brave soul to stand up against the derision of fearful trinitarians. You will have found that- (i) The Doctrine of the Trinity is not 'consistent' with reason or simple logic (ii) All trinitarian models are not supported by scripture.
God Bless you in your search for truth. John
Hi William Perhaps you could consider- (i) Who did Christ pray to? (His Father) (ii) Who did Christ tell us to pray to? (our Father- who is also Christ's Father ) (per John 20 v17)Hope this helps God Bless John
The human side of Jesus prayed to the Father i.e. the Spirit that dwelt in Him, same as I pray to the Holy Spirit in me. Jesus was the Father manifest in the FLESH (John 14:8-10;1 Tim 3:16, Matthew 9:2; Isaiah 9:6, Mat.1:23). Whom did Jesus tell us to pray to? True, He told us to pray to the Father. But He also told us to pray to Himself. Quote:"And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will ... Again if they are two persons, then we have contradiction in Scripture. It goes back to the point I made at the beginning: Put a clear distinction between the HUMANITY and the DIVINITY of Jesus and everything falls into place. Jehovah was prominent throughout the OT and Jesus is prominent throughout the NT. Jehovah promised not to give His glory to anyone else "I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another..." (Isaiah 42:8).
Hi William You just will not see my points (i) You keep confusing 'nature;' and 'identity' Christ has a different 'identity' to the Lord God Almighty..they are separate individual acting and thinking entities. Christ has the "divine nature". because he has inherited it from the source i.e. his Father who is God (John 20v17) (ii) If Christ is God and God is not the son then Christ is not God William, you ramble on giving us the traditional nonsense - just stop ... Good. I will stop. You know too much to learn from anyone else."They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out." (John 9:34)
Hi Smith, You forget that 'arms' is not a person and that 'legs' is not a person. You are a unique person with a unique identity. You share a human nature with mankind. I am a father, grandfather, econometrician and CPA -and a husband, but all of this is packaged into ONE unique identity called "John B" Remember above all that 'nature' is NOT 'identity" Blessings John
Whilst it is true that the word Trinity (Three in one) is an extra biblical definition I feel that the oneness of the three persons of the trinity is what makes any human definition very difficult to understand or even fathom as we have no human parallels to work with. The first person of the Godhead to be individually mentioned in Scripture is the Holy Spirit. Our understanding therfore of God is necessarily limited to what is revealed in the Bible only. The first person of the Godhead to be individually mentioned in Scripture is the Holy Spirit. Our understanding therfore of God is necessarily limited to what is revealed in the Bible only. It is clear that references to ffather, son and holy spirit all directly imply Godhead so I am comfortable that my belief in the trinity or triunity of God is the only way to express the God head. none of us can ever deeply fathom the Godhead. To be so pretentious would mean we are going too far. No need to argue about this matter ad infinitum. The Bible reveals a God who is three in one. Don´t call it a trinitarian doctrine if you don´t want to.
Hi Admin There is a very big difference between the words used in Exodus 3 v 14 and those which appear in John Chapter 8. In Exodus we have 'ego eimi o on' which means 'I am the being' or 'I am the existing one' The words used in John Chapter 8 are very commonly used words 'ego eimi' or I an the one' You will note that in John 8 v 28 we have the same words ' When you lift up the Son of Man you willrealise that I AM and that I can do nothing of my own, but ... The I AM in John 8v28 is certainly NOT YHWH!These are indeed difficult matters !My very best wishes. God Bless John.
And what is the result of your reasoning, John? If God would make a god-man to save us, why didn't God just make god-man beings from the beginning? If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. The type of person you are describing is a robot, the very thing God is not wanting to create. God wants to create sons and daughters who willingly choose only God's way. If all it took for man not to sin from the beginning was to be conceived of the Holy Spirit, then why ... Read More

Yasen I think that it is important to understand that the scriptures show that God is the Father in every case. Christ says that his God is His Father John 20 v 17 - and that the same being is also our God and Father. WE have now answered the question, who is Christ's God ! Who did Christ pray to ? His Father Who did Christ tell us to pray to - ? our Father. Do not worship a God which is a product of philosophical speculation by the early church fathers. Worship no other God than the one ... Kris & Pastor Wilson The original Hebrew relating to Isaiah 9 v 6 reads---- "Pele-joez el gibbor -abi- ad- sar-shalom" and this is fairly translated by (i) The Tanakh (ii) The NAB Bible (iii) The New Jerusalem Bible..... That is ... "They name him Wonder counsellor, God-Hero, Father forever, Prince of Peace" ... Please note (a) The verse is in the PRESENT TENSE (b)This verse describes a persons NAME. Jews tells me that the person being referred to was Hezekiah Blessings John
